When it comes to payment, we like to keep everything simply, mainly because our accounts department are not exactly models of sobriety and are therefore unable to get their heads around anything too complicated. So, for their benefit as well as yours, we don't hide any nasty surprises in the small print and we don't bamboozle you with complicated supplements. That said, please pay particular attention to the information on this page, the 'what's included' section of this brochure and to the notes in our separate price booklet.

How to pay

Most of you prefer to pay us using plastic. We accept all major credit and debit cards except American Express and Diners Club, as we're neither American nor a restaurant.

We don't make any charge for accepting debit cards (Visa debit/Switch/Solo/Maestro/Electron) but we do have to levy a 2% transaction fee if you choose to pay by credit card (Visa credit/Mastercard).

Many Respect customers are now based outside the United Kingdom, especially in the Republic of Ireland, mainland Europe and the USA. We're happy to quote prices in either Euros or US Dollars, but please bear in mind that any transaction between us ultimately takes place in British Pounds Sterling with the exchange rate applied not by ourselves but by your card issuer.

What & when to pay

This bit's easy. We'll never take any money from you unless we've confirmed exactly what you're paying before you pay it.

If you're making your booking more than nine weeks prior to your date of departure you need only pay a deposit of 120 per person for package holidays, 60 per person for accommodation only and 50 per person for flight only. You'll also be asked to stump up for your insurance and credit card charges, if applicable.

Nine weeks before the start of your holiday you'll need to pay your balance. At the time you pay your deposit you may, if you prefer, instruct us to take the final payment off your card automatically on the due date, which we'll do and then send a receipt. If you'd rather not work this way, the onus is on you to contact us to make payment.

If you're booking within nine weeks of departure you'll have to pay the whole lot up front.
